River Island’s New Shoe Designs.
High street brand River Island teams up with Blogger and Finnish native Sandra Hagelstam, of 5 Inch and Up to design a capsule of shoes, six styles actually, in different textures of suede, pony skin and mock croc. Though they will actually be launching in November, we get to view 4 of the sketches on this collection.
Sandra, a blogger and Commercial designer, began blogging in 2010 showing her readers a daily log of her own style and about 3 years later, was invited by Diesel to help in their redesigning campaign. Now she’s doing the same for this high street brand!
“I’ve aimed to design a powerful and seductive collection for strong women who understand the importance of a simplified statement shoe and I’m eager to see how women will be styling the range,” said Hagelstam to Vogue UK “It’s been a fantastic experience working with the great team of buyers and designers at River Island in creating this collection and I hope it will be as fun to wear as it has been to design the shoes.”
