Trends & My Picks From the 2015 Spring/Summer Fashion Week.
Hello stylistas, how are you all doing? So, we know the 2015 Spring Summer Fashion week has been on and in my category I call ‘Beautiful Things’ , I bring you my pick on the different looks that caught my eye and got them fixated.
Trends? yes there were a lot of looks that stuck out, far out!trends you’re going to be seeing a lot of before next year. First off though, you will notice that most designers are beginning to agree on one thing- that less is more! even eccentric designers like Vivienne Westwood was quite femme friendly with her Red Label collection.
There was the sporty trend on the runways of the likes of Altuzarra,Preen by Thornton Bregazzi,Topshop Unique and Alexander Wang. Gingham print from Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, to Diane Von Furstenberg! I loved the blooming flower prints in tulips, sunflower and other bold flowers that showed off in abundance on the runways of de la Renta, Carolina Herrera and even Victoria Beckham. We saw tribal designs with the likes of Donna Karen who is never afraid to show her intrigue with this print and then another favorite of mine, the bold stripes. This was everywhere and in fun diverse colors! This is a must have for your wardrobe I tell you!
Vera Wang and Versace made us fall in love with black all over again, reminding us why it is the go to color for the stylish woman. The black and white staple and all white ensemble is here to stay and we saw why on most of the collections. Added to those were pastels in pink and blue (De la renta, DVF) as well as a misty refreshing tones of yellow and red.
The fabrics reminded us why these designers are so-called as they used the most delicate and exquisite fabrics like the lovely silk organza and linen blend fabrics to show off their art in more ways than one. Sheer fabrics were everywhere as well as light floral prints as seen on the runways of Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and Vera Wang. Shiny, glitzy and glitter was also a mix in Hilfiger’s collection and Monique Lhuillier’s. Lace was also a considerable addition that lit up the feminine looks on the runway, creating nice dresses and separates… speaking of separates, there was a bit more seen on the runway this week and yes, the eyelets and laser cuts were not lost on us:
Yes! Eye candy all the way…beautiful things for you to appreciate and love …and shop?
Hugs :))
